Question 3.

Describe your relationship with your parents.

Oh man, I love my parents.

I know we all say it but I'm pretty sure I have the best parents in the world.
Lets start with my Dad. Dad is truely the man of the house, he has the last say. He demands respect not with words but with his humble character. He always has the right thing to say at the right time and can always be counted on to hand out the dad jokes (which I love!). I tend to talk to Dad about the more serious aspects of life because of the wisdom he has to offer. One thing that makes it so easy to talk to him is knowing that he'll only ever say whats needed. He's not prideful or self-seeking but always prefers the other person and so I trust the insight and opinions he gives. He's always supported me and encouraged me to persevere in my dreams and ambitions. He does all he can to help me yet teaches me to be my own person and manage my own decisions.

Mum, what a wonderful woman! I can say that because I'm so much like her. :)
I see myself becoming more and more like her every day and you'll be glad to know that I don't resent her for it at all. We can laugh together, cry together, share ideas, be creative together, have fun together, ultimately we share life together. She sets an example of  what it is to be a strong, gentle woman and presents herself in such a way that makes her approachable for anyone and everyone. I can talk to her about everything and talk to her about nothing. She's never judged me but always supported me. She challenges me when I need it but all with good intention. She leads me by example in the way that she cares for and loves her mum.

Most of all, my parents set an example of what it is to live their lives for Jesus by being led by Him every day. It shows in their parenting, in their relationships with their parents, in their friendships, workplaces, daily decisions and most of all in their marriage.
They lead by example and it is an example I am very happy to follow.
